Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 5:00 PM we will begin upgrading the phone
system in the Justice Center. This will affect all calls to the
Sheriff's Department, and Jail, but WILL NOT affect 9-1-1. We
anticipate only having the system down for a short time while we change
the dispatch center over to the new system. If you have an EMERGENCY

Wood County, Texas and its incorporated cities have entered into an agreement with Emergency Communications Network, Inc (ECN) for the use of its CodeRED Emergency Notification system. This system utilizes land-line phones, cellular phones, e-mail, and TXT messages to deliver notifications about emergency or non-emergency situations as quickly as possible to the citizens of Wood County or the incorporated cities there in. | |||||||||

This plan is formally known as the Wood County Criminal Justice Community Plan, the purpose of which is to identify gaps in services regarding criminal justice issues. The Criminal Justice Division of the Governor’s Office (CJD) requires that each county in Texas have a Criminal Justice Community Plan. | |||||||||
