Wood County, Texas and its incorporated cities have entered into an agreement with Emergency Communications Network, Inc (ECN) for the use of its CodeRED Emergency Notification system. This system utilizes land-line phones, cellular phones, e-mail, and TXT messages to deliver notifications about emergency or non-emergency situations as quickly as possible to the citizens of Wood County or the incorporated cities there in.
Wood County Community Action Plan

This plan is formally known as the Wood County Criminal Justice Community Plan, the purpose of which is to identify gaps in services regarding criminal justice issues. The Criminal Justice Division of the Governor’s Office (CJD) requires that each county in Texas have a Criminal Justice Community Plan.
